
M. Gams started his career in the German Air Force where he acquired a diploma in electrical engineering at the Armed Forces University in Munich and served for a 12 years term working mainly on the avionic equipment of the then new Tornado aircraft.
Thereafter he joined the federal government in various security and cyber related posts and assignments covering all aspects of IT related tasks from project management, IT-security to strategic threat assessment. In 2008 he studied at the Federal Academy for Security Studies in Berlin and entered the cyber related diplomatic sphere. In 2017 he was seconded upon request to the EEAS INTCEN to create and build up cyber threat analysis capacity within the EU Hybrid Fusion Cell.
